It’s Here!

Well I hope you have been saving up because I’m sure you have heard the good news. Today is the start of the early access for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! Aka, Christmas in July. No, wait, better than Christmas because I can shop for me!

What is the #Nsale?

I remember this time a few years back wondering what all the hype was about. Now I realize that this sale is probably one of the best of the year! If you don’t know what the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is (aka #Nsale), it is when Nordstrom puts out their new fall merchandise with great discounts. I’m talking about some items discounted hundreds of dollars! This sale is the opposite of most sales where they reduce the prices on items after they have been out for a while. For this sale, Nordstrom releases items at the discounted price and raises the prices after the sale.

What is the Early Access Sale?

The reason why the timing is so important is that this sale only goes for 3 1/2 weeks before the prices go back up on August 7th. You can get entry into the Early Access Sale starting today if you are a Nordstrom credit card holder. Some popular items sell out very quickly so access to the early bird sale is key. It’s a great way to stock up on your new items for fall without paying full price!

How should I go about shopping the sale?

This sale can be a little overwhelming because you may feel like you are on a time restraint. You want to make sure you don’t miss any of those “must-have” items before they sell out or the prices go back up. What I like to do is look back at some of my favorite items from last fall/ winter and see if there is anything I was needing to add to my wardrobe. Make sure you are looking for those items during the sale Don’t forget about accessories such as bags, jewelry, watches or scarves.

Remember to look at the size charts. Some brands have sizing that is slightly off normal sizes and it is definitely worth looking at their size chart or reading reviews before purchasing. If you are concerned about being between two sizes, order both! It may sound crazy but Nordstrom has free shipping and returns. Plus, you have the added bonus of trying on items in the comfort of your own home where you can plan outfits with items you already own. It’s a win-win!

Nordstrom has brought back several popular items from last year such as this cardigan sweater. I basically live in sweaters in the fall and found several great choices this year. Wearing my summer dresses with a long sweater and tall boots like these allows me to expand my summer wardrobe into the cooler months. I ordered this satin wrap dress and can’t wait for it to arrive!
