I’m so glad you’re here!  My name is Kate.  I have always lived in Colorado and love it here!  Colorado has so much to offer and I love being outdoors.  I work as a nurse by day and dream about food, fashion and travel by night.

A Copper Queen is here to help others find easy and healthy recipes that fit into real life and to share my love for style that’s affordable and practical.  Being active in Colorado is pretty easy, but like many, I sometimes struggle with eating healthy. Cooking using fresh ingredients has been the best way to keep me on track.  I started keeping track of what I was cooking after many people asking for my recipes and posting them for all to try.

I think my love for fashion and shopping is passed down from my grandma and is ingrained on my DNA.  Since many of my days are spent in scrubs, I have fun planning outfits and shopping for new things that make me feel confident and won’t break the bank.  After all, I do have a nurses salary!
