One of the most challenging things I’ve faced as a new mom is finding the time to workout. I love playing and interacting with Charlee while she’s awake, I feel a little guilty taking time for myself. Since I’ve started back at work full time, I’ve been exhausted and try to rest or nap when she’s napping. So overall, I have minimal time to squeeze in a workout.
And forget going to the gym. Even if there wasn’t a pandemic, having time to go to the gym is simply out of the question.
Lately, I’ve started to created short workout splits and full body workouts that can be done when I have 15-20 minutes to spare in between diaper changes and cleaning milk spit-ups.
This week, I have put together a quick shoulder burner with dumbbells. Do 12-15 reps of each exercise and repeat 2-4 rounds…whatever you have time for!
I’ve had some great luck with Amazon lately. This workout outfit is about as basic as you can get but it’s comfy and that’s pretty much what I’m about. These leggings were a great find! They’re thick enough to be squat-proof (although that doesn’t matter as much when working out from home!) and super soft. You won’t believe the quality for under $20! I just saw they have added new colors and ones with a side pocket! I got a size small and they run pretty pretty pretty true to size.
This crop top is another great find for low impact workouts. It’s lightly padded and comes in 4 colors. I sized up to a medium because #breastfeeding… I think it would also be cute to wear under a plaid shirt and some ripped jeans as a casual outfit.
Let me know if you enjoy these workouts and comment what other workouts you would like to see!
