I’m not ashamed to admit that I own 3 of this dress. It’s definitely my favorite dress and I love that it comes in so many colors and sleeve lengths. With so many options, it can be suitable for any season. This one is the long sleeve version but I also have a 3/4 sleeve and tank version of the dress. The ruched sides make for an ultra flattering shape no matter what your size. And the cute wrap hem is adorable with over-the-knee (OTK) boots or even sandals in the warmer months.
A good cardigan sweater is pretty much a wardrobe staple. I have many in my closet but this one is the one I probably wear most often. Why? It has pockets! If it has pockets, I’m sold. No convincing needed. Besides coming in many different colors, this sweater has a great price and is under $50. I will usually to throw it on over any casual jeans outfit for an extra layer since I’m always cold but wore it over my favorite dress for this look. Check out this post where I wore it with jeans and a satin cami.
You might have noticed that I wear OTK boots often in the winter. Until recently, I would only wear my dresses in the spring or summer. As one of my (many) made up rules I follow, I would stash away my dresses in the back of the closet, only to be seen again when the temperature reach at least 75º. That rule has changed thanks to my OTK boots which keep me from freezing my booty off when wearing dresses.
Over-The-Knee Boots
I’m obsessed with this pair for 3 reasons:
- The heel is the perfect height to wear anytime. They are easily paired with skirt or dress but can be dressed down when you pull them on over you or favorite jeans.
- The calf width is perfect for skinner legs. I promise you I don’t skip leg day, but my skinny calves and legs aren’t ideal for many pairs of boots. This pair has a slights stretch to them and I have never had a problem keeping them up. I understand that some people don’t have this problem and the stretch allows them to fit over wider calves as well. However, if you do suffer from chicken legs, like me, these boots are worth every penny.
- Speaking of pennies, this pair is under $80! Who says you have to spend a ton on a pair of boots? This pair has great quality despite its low price tag. I have found they also come in grey meaning at that price, you can have both, right?

Happy Monday! I hope you had a nice relaxing weekend. We had a great weekend in Steamboat Springs and we are all feeling a little sore from 2 days of snowboarding. Steamboat is the cutest little town and we always enjoy getting out of the city to visit. We went out to dinner one night at Carl’s Tavern after a long day on the mountain. It’s not the first time we have been there and we went back this trip for the yummy food and cocktails. If you have never been to Steamboat Springs, it’s definitely worth a trip. We have been going for years so let me know if you need suggestions on good restaurants and fun things to do.
