Wrap tops can go either way for me. They are either way to large leaving a gaping neckline exposing my bra, or they are way to tight in the boobs and also leave my bra showing.  I realize in some instances, flaunting your brassiere can be stylish, even classy if done right. However, this was not the look I was going for as I wore this to yet another Target run for the week.

When I tried on this top, I was surprised that the fit was neither of the above scenarios. It fit so well! The off the shoulder detail is so cute and feminine and I love the red rose print. This top is great for a casual outfit when paired with some distressed jeans as I did.   You could add a pair of dark jeans and some cute pumps. Or even a pair of faux leather leggings!  I added this gold choker necklace and like to style it with low necklines or your basic crew neck. To add a little more gold detail to the outfit,  I wore these studded block heels which are the perfect alternative for the more expensive version.

Weekend away

We are in New Jersey this weekend for a wedding.  A good friend of my husband is getting married and we are excited to get away for a few days.  We did have a little time to explore this area and found a couple of cute restaurants.  Watch for a post on our trip soon.

I can’t believe that next weekend is already Labor Day weekend! Summer went by so fast! We all seem to be so busy but I hope you were able to fit some fun trips over the summer and I would love to hear all about it. What was your favorite part of this past summer?

I can’t believe how quickly the summer is going!  Just the other day we were talking about when we can take a long weekend to go to our favorite camping spot.  I couldn’t believe that we have almost every weekend booked up from now until Labor Day!  Did you hear me?!  Labor Day!  As in the unofficial end of summer!  How did that happen?  I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels like my summer slips away so fast.  I have already started to see advertisements for back-to-school stuff.  And the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is already here.  Fall shopping anyone?

The last two weeks have been a little crazy for us.  Marc’s parents came to visit and we had a wonderful time showing them around Denver.  We took them to some of our favorite restaurants in Denver.  I plan on writing a post about our favorite spots soon so stay tuned for that.  We spent some time with my family and I hope they weren’t too overwhelmed by the craziness than be.

White Scalloped Tank + Boyfriend Jeans

Who doesn’t love a classic white tank and jeans? However I always seem to have a problem with is finding a white top that isn’t see through.  I may be guilty of wearing a bright red bra under my white baby tee in the 90’s, but that was also when it was cool to wear a velour track suit with “Juicy” across the butt.  Hey, not judging.  All I’m saying is that as I get older, the less I want the attention to go straight to my bra and butt.

I am totally into the scalloped trend this summer.  This scalloped white tank is so cute and it’s not see through!  So naturally, it was definitely going into my shopping bag.    I just saw that it is on sale right now for under $30 with the prom code HEATWAVE.  I’m considering buying both the blue and black!

I have been living in these boyfriend jeans lately.  I love that they go with anything and they are seriously the most comfortable jeans I own.  My sandals may have been a spurge but I have no regrets.  They are my go-to all summer long.

Thanks for reading!  Have a great week!

I wore this basic outfit a few weeks ago when I was visiting my parents in the mountains.  Even though its warm in Denver, sometimes I need to dress a little warmer when heading up in elevation.  I tend to always be cold and am guilty of  wearing long underwear under my scrubs in the winter!  I love this sweater because it is light enough for the spring but still gives me that extra layer.  The  pastel pink is also a color I am loving right now.  I have never been one to gravitate towards pink but this color is perfect for the warmer months.

I also really like these new peep toe mules.  My closet is filling up with many nude colored shoes lately but they go with any outfit!  These mules are super comfy and easy to walk in (a must when I choose heels) and are easy to just slip on and go!  I talked about how I love block heels in this post a few weeks ago.

Thanks for reading!  I plan on having some yummy recipes soon so stay tuned.  Happy Thursday!
