Wrap tops can go either way for me. They are either way to large leaving a gaping neckline exposing my bra, or they are way to tight in the boobs and also leave my bra showing.  I realize in some instances, flaunting your brassiere can be stylish, even classy if done right. However, this was not the look I was going for as I wore this to yet another Target run for the week.

When I tried on this top, I was surprised that the fit was neither of the above scenarios. It fit so well! The off the shoulder detail is so cute and feminine and I love the red rose print. This top is great for a casual outfit when paired with some distressed jeans as I did.   You could add a pair of dark jeans and some cute pumps. Or even a pair of faux leather leggings!  I added this gold choker necklace and like to style it with low necklines or your basic crew neck. To add a little more gold detail to the outfit,  I wore these studded block heels which are the perfect alternative for the more expensive version.

Weekend away

We are in New Jersey this weekend for a wedding.  A good friend of my husband is getting married and we are excited to get away for a few days.  We did have a little time to explore this area and found a couple of cute restaurants.  Watch for a post on our trip soon.

I can’t believe that next weekend is already Labor Day weekend! Summer went by so fast! We all seem to be so busy but I hope you were able to fit some fun trips over the summer and I would love to hear all about it. What was your favorite part of this past summer?

It’s been a little cooler here and have been hearing talks of an early fall.  I know I’m not ready for that yet!  Summer is my favorite time of the year!  Dresses are a definite must in the summer because they are so easy.  There is no planning and coordinating tops with bottoms.  They are great for traveling because you can save precious luggage space by only packing one item.  This basic black t-shirt dress is one of my favorites.  Its comfortable, easy to love in and can be styled so many ways.  Plus you can buy several of the many colors available because it’s under $20!   This dress also comes in a tall which I realized after posting these photos is what I need. I saw that it looks a little short for my 5’11” frame.  If you are taller than 5’9″, I would recommend buying the tall size.

Today I styled my dress with an army green cargo vest.  This vest is lighter weight but adds a fun layer in the warmer months.  This vest will be great to wear in the fall with a pair of jeans, boots and a long sleeve tee or plaid shirt.

My nude heels can seriously be worn with any outfit.  I know you have heard me say I love a block heel and have been wearing this pair all summer.  For a price tag of under $30, you could get the black ones too!

Happy Saturday!  What are you up to this weekend?  We will be getting ready for my sister’s engagement party next weekend so my to do list is about a mile long.  🙂

Happy Friday!  I’m so exited to share this outfit with you today.  I love to put on a dress, the only problem is that my job allows me to basically work in pajamas.  Therefore, I have many beautiful dresses that I only take out for special occasions.  This green back zip dress was a must have the moment I tried it on.  It’s fits my body well and is incredibly comfortable to wear.  The back zip gives an otherwise plain dress a little detail.  The length also makes it perfect to wear to the office or even out to brunch with the girls.  I actually wore this to my grandfather’s funeral recently.  I hate wearing black to funerals.  However, if you are in need of a new LBD, this one does come in 3 other colors!  It runs true to size and I’m wearing a size 2.

I am sure you have seen a much more expensive version of these studded pumps.  When I found these nude studded pumps and they were under $75, I couldn’t wait to put them on my feet!   The studded straps add a beautiful gold accent to any outfit.  And they are so comfy!  I could walk in them all day.  They come in 2 colors and run true to size.

I’m currently writing from the dock at Lake Ozark, MO.  Every year we try to make it here for a long weekend but the last two summers have been so crazy, it just hasn’t happened.  We are so glad to be back this year and to be spending time with family.   With all the activities we have here, we usually need a vacation from our vacation when we get home!  If you have never heard of Lake Ozark, you should definitely look into visiting sometime.  It such a beautiful little oasis in the middle of the country.  What interesting Is that it has more shoreline than the California coast!   What are your plans for the weekend?
